Happy Halloween!

Last year Kaleigh was dressed up as a Ladybug... this year... a BUTTERFLY! We were a bit concerned that she would revolt and not cooperate but she did great, as long as we didn't put her little hat/head on. We went to a few houses on our street and then went to a larger neighborhood down the street. I am worried that she will want to walk up and down the street every night now, dressed up and go knock on doors for candy! She got scared a few times but for the most part seemed very intrigued. Todd and I carved pumpkins this afternoon before the trick or treating took place :) I love being a kid again!

Outside...

I really think that if I were to allow Kaleigh to stay outside for the entire day, she would... I love being out in the mornings and late afternoon but not so much during the middle of the day. So, during those hours she plays, takes a nap and occasionally walks over and looks out the backdoor and points as if she were telling me that she wants to go outside. I do my best to distract her, but sometimes I fail miserably. It doesn't help that mom has made her a baby oasis in the back yard and bought her a water/sand table today - now she will NEVER want to stay indoors!

Look who is SUPER cool in her shades!

Water/Sand Table

She spent over an hour playing and didn't want to eat dinner

This is what happens when she is smelling the roses and an airplane passes over

Daddy's Lil Longhorn Fan...

As football season began, I thought it only appropriate to get Kaleigh a cheer outfit to support Daddy's team... she looks precious but I need to find her some white shoes to go with it - but for now, pink ones will have to do!

If you're happy and you know it... Clap your hands!
Too cute...

Let me see the camera MOM...

So while I was out playing... they lost? ;(

My first piggies!!! :)

My Great Grandmother's 98th Birthday

We had the privilege of celebrating my Great Grandmother's 98th Birthday this August. She is still doing very well and we are thankful for her influence in our lives. I am SO glad that we have the chance to make these memories and capture them on film for Kaleigh to see one day. Kaleigh loves her grandparents, great grandparents and great grandmother :)

Loving the Cooler Weather

Our little angel LOVES being outside... whether is it hot, muggy, windy or cool, if we would let her, she would be outside ALL of the time. But then... she smells like outside, not like my fresh, sweet baby! I know I will get over that soon enough. We are looking forward to it being out of the 90's so we can play and explore more of the outdoors!

So we will be trying this again....

I started a blog a while back but was horrible at keeping it updated! I promise to try to do a better job with this one... Kaleigh is now almost 17 months old and I really can't believe that time has gone by so quickly. I am trying to savor every moment we have with her and it is amazing to watch our little miracle grow and develop. What a blessing!
